Due to the suspension of of flights to and from Cyprus, Cyprus Post announces that they suspend until further notice the acceptance of postal items with destination all countries with the exception of Greece. The premium international courier service Quickpost is still available.
15.03.2020-NEW INFORMATION
The Cyprus Post monitors the developments regarding the spread of coronavirus in our country and has as their primary concern the protection of the health of their employees and their customers, always following the instructions issued by the competent authorities.
Among other actions, the Cyprus Post Office has accelerated the installation of a dividing glass at the counter, has provided each Post Office with antiseptic liquid while disinfection by specialized personnel is planned.
However, no action can produce the desired effect unless there is full co-operation and adherence, in a calm and panic-free manner, of the relevant instructions at hand.
Therefore, and following previous announcements, we ask our clients to:
• Visit Post Offices and KEPOs. when absolutely necessary. The Cyprus Post will extend the period in which their clients can collect their items.
• if they need some information, without the need for a physical presence at the Post Office /KEPO, to use the 80002000 toll free number, our website or the application for smartphones.
• avoid visiting the Post Office /KEPO if they experience any symptoms of coronavirus and take the actions as set out in the guidelines of the Ministry of Health.
• take the necessary measures of self-protection and personal hygiene as defined by the instructions of the Ministry of Health.
• return at a later time, if possible, if there is overcrowding at the Post Office /KEPO
• at any point of time, only two (2) customers can be present in the waiting area of the Post Office, maintaining the necessary distances (at least one meter) from each other while waiting. The Postal Officers have the responsibility to enforce this rule in order to protect everyone's health.
• follow the instructions of the Postal Officers.
• prefer to pay by credit card where possible, instead of cash.
• affix stamps using the relevant water rollers/water sponges available at each Post Office.
The Cyprus Post is in constant communication with other postal organizations worldwide with a view to adopting good practices and exchanging information to address this crisis.
We ask for our customers understanding in case of delays in the service provided, due to the emergency situation and the inevitable absence of a large number of staff. We assure you that we will make every effort to manage this unprecedented situation.
