Prepare an electronic Shipment Request
Dear customers,
Further to previous announcements, we would like to inform you:
- As of 1st January 2023, the use of the Shipping Tool/eCustoms for the creation of an item label as well as a customs declaration (where applicable), is mandatory based on the service/destination/contents as described in the table below:

* AS OF 1/1/2026 GOODS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED IN OUTBOUND REGISTERED ITEMS. YOU CAN SEND GOODS USING THE RECORDED DELIVERY SERVICE.
* YOU CAN STILL SEND MERCHANDISE AS DOMESTIC REGISTERED ITEMS.
- Applicable ONLY for the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden.
- Documents: personal correspondence, contracts and other printed items with no commercial value.
- Items for which the use of the Shipping Tool/eCustoms application is mandatory, will not be accepted for posting if they have a label not created through the Shipping Tool/eCustoms application.
We would also like to remind you that:
- the preparation of an electronic Shipment Request and the transmission of data related to the postal item is mandatory since 1/1/2021.
- the creation of the shipping request is the responsibility of the sender
You can use the application in two ways:
- Without creating an account for one time or limited use.
- By creating an account, in case you will be using the application frequently. By creating an account (free of charge), you will have the ability to create an address list with senders and recipients. In this way you do not need to repeat their details every time you prepare a shipment request. You may also create a contents catalogue with the details of the items you send frequently.
- In case you are a business customer, you may create an account and enter the licence number/s you were provided by Cyprus Post. As soon as your account is verified, you have extra control on your bulk mailings.
Part of the new application is the inclusion of the customs classification code (HSCode). Each content item is categoriased under a category of this international customs code. The HSCode make the customs handling of the items easier.
