Promoting Social Dialogue in the Postal Sector in an Enlarged Europe

The 3^rd Regional Workshop of the European Social Dialogue Committee for the Postal Sector was held in Athens on 3^rd and 4^th May. Cyprus Post participated with its Director Mr Andreas Gregoriou and its Deputy Director Mr Pavlos Pavlides as well as with a delegation of the PASYDY worker’s union. The Workshop was organized by PostEurop and UNI Postal Post & Logistics Global Union who constitute the European Social Dialogue Committee. During the workshop, there was an update on the activities of the Committee and there were interventions by various Postal Organisations and Unions delegations on their respective national contexts. Emphasis was given to the digital transformation of the postal sector and the adaptation of the postal operators’ activities regarding e-commerce and parcels delivery. Also, the impact of digitalization on training, up-skilling and cultural change was examined.
