Handling of Inbound Postal Items without Electronic Customs Declaration

We would like to inform you as follows: 

  1. Despite the obligation that the sending postal operators to accompany all the postal items with an electronic customs declaration (ITMATT), we receive a very large number of tems without ITMATT. 
  2. This fact there is a huge backlog as these items cannot be handled automatically from a postal and a customs perspective. 
  3. We have asked intensively all sending postal operators to adhere to their obligation to send ITMATT.  
  4. For the above reasons, on a temporary basis, items without ITMATT will be sent for further postal and customs processing to the District Parcel Offices. 
  5. We kidnly ask you to visit the Parcel Post Offices to collect your items ONLY if you have received a notification (printed or by SMS), in order to avoid congenstionany and the related inconvenience.
