Shipping Tool changes

We would like to inform you as follows:

As of 1^st October 2002, the following changes will be implemented in the Shipping Tool process for the preparation of a shipping request label and a customs declaration where applicable:

1. Sender’s telephone: this becomes a mandatory field.
2. Sender’s email: it remains optional however, it is strongly advisable to be filled in if available.
3. Recipient’s telephone and email: one of the two is mandatory. However, if both are known, it is advisable to be filled in.

The above information is necessary to enable both Cyprus Post and the respective destination postal organization to provide a better service to the senders and recipients of postal items. Please note that this information will be transmitted in electronic form and will not be visible on the printed label on the item.

We would like to remind you that the use of the Shipping Tool is mandatory for all postal items that contain goods. Its use is optional for bar coded items containing personal correspondence or documents.
