Our new children’s stamp is “The Prince of Venice”, moving on from “Spanos and the Forty Dragons” in that the theme is also a folk story illustrated, once again, by Hambis Tsangaris, the engraver from Kontea village.

The Cyprus Post, taking artistic inspiration from folklore and remaining true to the style of the artist, is trying for a second time to give children a taste of the magic of a fairytale that goes to the very roots of tradition and is imbued with timeless forms, values and feelings that speak across the ages.
