For the eleventh consecutive year, the member states of the Postal Union for the Mediterranean "Euromed Postal" are issuing a stamp with a common theme. This year's theme is "Sports in the Mediterranean".

The blue of the sea, the gold of the sand and the vivid colours under the sun are included in the illustration of the sport of beach volleyball.

The sport of beach volleyball was chosen because it is one of the most popular sports in the Mediterranean region that combines action with entertainment.
