The security forces are a key pillar for ensuring public order, protecting citizens and preserving the territorial integrity of the country.

The Police is responsible for upholding the law, for the prevention of crime and the protection of citizens, so that everyone may live and work without fear. The National Guard defends the territorial integrity of Cyprus and operates as a deterrent against foreign threats. At the same time, the Fire Brigade intervenes immediately in case of fire, natural disasters and accidents, saving lives and protecting properties and infrastructures.

It is equally important that, both men as well as women, actively participate in the security forces of the country, and offer their services to the citizens with the same dedication and zeal. The contribution of the security forces is priceless, since they ensure the maintenance of peace, stability and security in our society.
