Bullying, unfortunately, is one of the greatest and most serious problems, which mainly afflict student youth around the world. By this term we mean aggressive, physical, verbal and psychological behaviors that manifest deliberately, in an unprovoked manner and repeatedly in and out of school and in recent years also on the internet. 17% of children aged 11-15 in Cyprus have experienced school bullying and out of this percentage 5.4% are bullies, 7.4% are victims and 4.2% are victims who also become bullies. Furthermore, one in five high school students have experienced some kind of bullying. With the issuance of this stamp, the Cyprus Post actively contributes to raising awareness of this issue by sending the message "Stand up to bullying"!
